FOTD: Red lips and neutrals

This whole look is actually inspired and centered on the bold red lips that have been taken the fashion industry by storm. I really wanted dark, vampy lips but sadly, I have yet to buy any berry/plum lipstick. I kept my face neutral and clean. Red lipstick is like highlighter for pimples and red spots/marks. So if you're using red lipstick, be sure to even out your skin tone as much as possible. 

 I was just going to school so I tried to keep my make up as light as possible. Attracting a professor's attention is a double-edged sword in law school so I prefer to play it safe and simple. I did a light contour on my eyes which you can't really see on the photo above but I swear it was noticeable. There's also some shimmer c/o Barely Beige by Maybelline which I absolutely love and will blog soon about!!! I swear it's a must have! Also, I winged my eye liner to complement my lips better without making it too retro, safe and simple ;)

I used to colors for my lips in an effort to make it darker. It's still very red but at least a darker shade of red. My classmates said my lips were too red though! Ah, but red is red and one can never be too red :) Does that make sense?

Pulled my hair in a tight ponytail and wore no blush to highlight my lips more. I used bronzer though as a little contour for my cheeks.

Clueless.. Not quite :)

Cher and Dionne were best friends and my first role models. What?! I was 10 years old, they were pretty, they talked smart (I was 10?!?) and they were living the good (and clean) life. I was never into grunge. 

I'm so glad Entertainment did this issue because Clueless really is a film that defined my generation. I memorized every single line in the movie and I bought the books. While I never fancied my brother, UGH AS IF?! It did make me resolute to find someone decent who would be different from everyone else. Right?! You must have picked up something from Clueless! Anything! Even not looking like you just rolled out of bed and put on a downward caps and expect the girls to swoon!

I love Alicia Silverstone and I do hope she'll make a good movie soon :)

Change. A pretty darn hard thing for a sentimental sap like me. Relationships change. Goals evolve. Circumstances get complicated or simple.

The important thing is to stand by your principles, keep your values and pray. Always, prayer for guidance and wisdom, for humility and courage, for blessings you do not deserve but will receive.

Here's to letting go and new beginnings.

OOTD: Suede in Nude

This was the outfit of the day for Makati Shangri-la's Circles Buffet last Sunday. I originally wanted to wear a bulky dress that I won't have to "adjust" when I've eaten too much but I remembered my shoes which I bought some two months ago and still haven't worn! So change of outfit it is :)
